So Betty and Melly paid for the 10 foot Beautiful Wooden Curtain Pole and marched off down the High Street, pole over shoulders.

When Betty and Melly got home, Betty got out her little saw and, with a pencil, marked off 3 feet from the end of the Beautiful Wooden Curtain Pole.

Betty applied the saw.
